Run with Carl is continuing its Labor Day tradition in the Quad City area.

Memorializing the life of Carl Schillig through college scholarships and promoting the sport of running continue to be the primary objectives of the run. We evaluate each year's event for continued growth and improvement, and your comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Plan to join us Labor Day Sept. 3, 2012 – Celebrating 18 years

The run proceeds fund the Carl D. Schillig Memorial Fund, Inc., a 501-c (3) organization. In addition to college scholarships, proceeds are distributed to groups /organizations in which Carl was active. These include the Bettendorf Swim Club, the Corn Belt Running Club and Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

We are currently providing eight college scholarships to Bettendorf and Pleasant Valley high school graduates. Recipients are attending the following colleges /universities: Drake University, Iowa State University, St. Ambrose University, Luther College and Coe College. The names of past and current recipients are listed on the scholarship page.
